Angela + Aaron ~ The Knot Is Tied!
This was an A++ wedding because, it was Angela & Aaron’s. (Sorry, bad dad-pun-joke!) Since our first meeting, we naturally got along and enjoyed talking about wedding details and the Raptors (’twas the season). And even though they booked me well in advance, catching up with them through emails was like catching up with long-time friends.
Just about everything was done at the York Mills Gallery venue. Make-up and hair were done on premises, some formal portraits, the ceremony and the reception. What aided in the success of the day was how relaxed Angela & Aaron were. Although they had done a great job organizing the itinerary of the day, their enjoyment as the day progressed just made a wonderful experience all-round.
After everyone was dolled-up, they both did a first-look. It was so sweet capturing their expressions in amazement of how stunning and dapper they looked. Then, we drove to a near-by park that would lead us to the east-side of the Gardiner Expressway. The wedding party got shots in front of the infamous rainbow tunnel and we enjoyed the rest of that early afternoon basking in the sun.
The buzz started as guests poured into the venue in anticipation for the ceremony. Thereafter, I already knew that the dancing portion of the evening was going to be off-the-hook, by the way the wedding party and Angela & Aaron danced their way into the dining area after being introduced. Sure enough, with the DJ spinning a mix of old school R&B and current hip hop, everyone was on the dancefloor.
One of the sweet moments was when Angela surprised her mom with a singing number. In a sense, she was returning the favour, as her mom and won a karaoke contest while back. It was only fitting that the song “Mamma” by the Spice Girls was sung lovingly and boy, Angela sure got her singing talents from her mother!
I was privileged to have captured Angela & Aaron’s wedding and I hope you enjoy these highlights!
