T.A. + D.S. ~ The Answer Is “Yes!”
At the office, Taryn and I had always enjoyed a quick chat about one of the weddings she either attended or was part of as a bridesmaid in exchange for an anecdote (or two) about the weddings I had covered. The time had come that it was Taryn’s turn to be in the spotlight as a bride, as her (then) fiancé {now husband}, Daniel, had proposed in a unique and romantic way. As part of his proposal, he had hooked the engagement ring around Donald’s collar. In a sense, there were two surprises in one: Donald being the cutest little pet cat they would first have and more importantly, the affirmed proposal to be wed for eternity.
Because of the many discussions we’ve had, I had tried not to advertise myself … haha! yet, both Taryn and Daniel humbled me to be hired as their photographer for their wedding. Starting with their engagement session, we had decided to start the session on the grounds of the home she grew up in. It was expansive: apple orchard, access to a forest, a pond, a rustic shed … the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. Finally, I got the pleasure of meeting Donald in person, along with his companion and another “addition to the family”, Lucille, as we ended the session at their home.
This was certainly a picture-perfect engagement session which only led to great captures of their wedding.
