Michelle + Oliver ~ The Answer Is “Yes!”
Today, my baby brother gets married. “Baby brother” truly describes us well because (a) he’s my only brother; and (b) he was born when I was a strapping 12-year old. I’ve certainly seen him grow through all the years. For sure there was that awkward adolescent stage where our interests collided (he liked Weird Al’ Yankovic … I thought he was just weird. LOL!)
Until we found a great common ground, we had become best-buds. We loved the same music, our fashion tastes became similar, our love for our Catholic faith was on par, we finished each other’s jokes … heck our spouses share the same name, his wedding is being held at the same church we got married at, two of his groomsmen were mine and the reception will be held at the same place we held ours. My dad jokes: “No creativity there.” Haha!
Truly, I’m so proud of him and all that he’s achieved. He’s found himself a great match in Michelle through patience and prayer. And his involvement with the wedding preparations has shown his dedication to the role that he’s about to undertake.
As best man, I’ve had the privilege to be his slave … haha! In all honesty, I would do anything to keep this guy smiling because he deserves it. With anything I’ve been asked to do, I’ve enjoyed each task; starting with this session below. It was poignant that their engagement session was held on the University of Toronto (downtown campus) grounds because that is where they met. We had a great time and you can see how they both can go from intimate to joking around to happy and back to joking around.
I only wish many of God’s blessings as they turn over the leaf to a new and exciting chapter “Our Sacrament of Marriage”.
