M.A + R.G. ~ The Knot Is Tied!

April 9, 2015

It had almost been a year since I had seen Macy and Ryan on their engagement photoshoot and their Big Day had finally come. The schedule of the day was packed: seeing Macy and her gals get all prettied up by Melis Makeup + Hair checking out Ryan and his henchmen with many laughs and jokes at the hotel, and finally, back with the bride, capturing the precious moments looking stunning in her wedding dress.

Their ceremony was actually going to be personal for me because the last time I attended a wedding at Prince of Peace was actually…mine! Every wedding that I attended and sang there, I have always wondered what it would be like photographing one (as I secretly scrutinized all the photographers the couples would hire…haha!) So, my turn had come and having known the sacristan, the priest, the musicians and my way around the church, I truly felt at home and found it easy to maneuver in stealth-mode and get the shots I wanted.

From familiar grounds to a not-so-familiar grounds, I enjoyed the limo ride with the energized wedding party to the Centre of Performing Arts for the formal portraits. As we had a limited time frame, we tried to utilize as many areas as we could. Of course, the staircase is always a landmark to the location.

And finally, the couple who I’ve deemed to be cute and demure, let it loose on the dancefloor at the Estate Banquet and Event Centre with the help of Veriation Music! They had entertained us with a wonderful choreographed first dance to the Game of Thrones soundtrack. And continued on with the partying for the rest of the evening.

It’s times like these when we’re glad to have celebrated it with the ones we love. Macy and Ryan gave their love of farewell to Gran this year. Always sending you all prayers!
