J + L ~ The Knot Is Tied!
When creatives get together, wonderful art out of life is made. These two artists, J. and L., gave me the opportunity to be just as creative capturing how they had planned their big day. During our first meeting, we were talking all about our experiences in the fine arts program in university and all I could imagine was all the unique and personal details they would have in store.
Firstly, they put God first. Their ceremony was held at Holy Family Church (the Oratory of St. Philip Neri). It was a beautiful and blessed ceremony that was preceded by an even poignant first look. You will see the jubilation upon seeing each other in their wedding attire, looking all elegant and spiffy.
Secondly, the festivities continued on at Apt 200. From mid-afternoon and on, their guests enjoyed endless hors d’ouvres which gave them energy to either play video games, shoot some pool, enjoy conversations at the bar and really, relax! To add to the mood, L. had put together a wonderful playlist of music (mostly 90s hip-hop and r&b) that everyone grooved to. This place also provided me with a unique backdrop for some original and beautiful solo bridal shots of J. .
The rest of the photos tell the rest of the story of the day and I am forever thankful that their creative minds entrusted me with such a responsibility. Hope you enjoy!
