Erin + John ~ The Answer Is “Yes!”
Meeting Erin & John was a result of friends supporting each other. In this case, Ian Liwanag (who is a preferred DJ vendor at the Old Mill, Toronto), had contacted me to inquire if I was available for their wedding. After a Skype meeting with Erin, the rest was history and I’m indebted to Ian for his constant support and friendship.
As part of the full package that Erin & John had selected, we had planned for their engagement session. This was certainly going to be a fun one given that they had given me directions to their cottage. It’s always so calming being near a body of water which allowed for all of us to have a really grand time.
We had made use of all the grounds and saved the best for last. Despite it being September, they really wanted the one-of-a-kind shot of jumping in the lake. Yes, they would only jump once … no do-overs … um, no pressure! I set my camera on burst mode; went over how they were going to jump in; I lay on my stomach to get a great low-angle. The countdown began. 3, 2, 1 … they were both airborne and splash!!! That was it. All 14 frames had caught the action and how stellar it was.
I had such a great time with both of them that I couldn’t wait for their wedding day.
