R.G. + S.G ~ The Answer is “Yes!”

<cue Mis­sion Impos­si­ble soundtrack…dun, dun…dun dun dun, dun…>

“Greet­ings Agent Dizon, we’ve been expect­ing you. Your mis­sion, should you choose to accept it, involves sim­u­lat­ing the pho­to­shoot with the deemed-to-be-mar­ried cou­ple, Rebekah and Stephan, for the first 10 min­utes of the ses­sion where ser­e­naders will wait for your cue to swarm in with Boyz II Men’s ‘I Do’. While Rebekah is dis­tract­ed, Stephan will be slipped the engage­ment ring and be pre­pared to com­mit to Rebekah in mar­riage for the rest of their lives. This mes­sage will self-destruct in 3 seconds.”

Yup, that’s how it all went down at Union Sta­tion (Toron­to) and I was total­ly hon­oured to be a part of it. Rebekah is one of my choir mates from the U of T Gospel Choir (UTGC) and one of the most tal­ent­ed hum­ble singers I know. Because she shares audi­ences with her sweet voice, in return, she only deserves the best and she cer­tain­ly got him. Stephan is a true gen­tle­man whose roman­tic side only gives proof of his deep love for Rebekah. Heck, he set up this entire pro­pos­al (with the help of, now sis-in-law, Ruthy) by coor­di­nat­ing the singers and the mode of cap­tur­ing the event with pho­tog­ra­phy. And con­fi­dent­ly with faith, every­thing worked out perfectly!

After the big sur­prise, it only brought out the nat­ur­al smiles for the camera…who would­n’t after a pro­pos­al like that?!?! We sure­ly had fun reliv­ing the min­utes right before the big ques­tion was popped and how it was all orchestrated.

P.S. And yes, I did watch “Mis­sion Impos­si­ble 4: Ghost Pro­to­col” and I thor­ough­ly enjoyed it!
