L.V. + C.W. ~ The Knot Is Tied!
When I shot Laura and Colin’s engagement session, we used the grounds of where the wedding reception was going to be held. On the morning of the wedding, I had gone to see the excited bride and her lovely bridesmaids at her parents’ place and what a transformation had taken place! The tent was up and ready, flowers were blooming, grass was trimmed and not a drop in the sky.
It did end up being a really hot day. As such, this is where Colin used his groomly authority and suggested that his groomsmen needn’t wear their suit blazers. Both, a practical and stylish good call!
The beautiful ceremony was held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church. We then followed to the Simcoe County Museum for the formals. This wedding party was a lot of fun to shoot because of their charisma!
The reception was wonderful and this was my first time experiencing an outdoor wedding reception. Truth be told, the mosquitoes had their own reception feasting at my legs … haha! But that didn’t stop me from capturing a most vivacious evening of surprise dance numbers, karaoke singing, a surprise musical number of a quartet Laura’s father sang lead in, a bonfire and yes, a swimming pool dip (wait till the end!).
Now, I will let the pics tell the story! Enjoy!
