Krystiana & Ben ~ The Knot Is Tied!
What can I say about these two love birds? Elementary school sweet-hearts, youth ministers, faith-driven and über cute together! Having known them through church in our parish, it was very humbling to have been asked to capture their “Yes!” to God’s call in their vocation of marriage and to witness them vow to each other through this sacrament.
Yet, it seems we were destined to all know each other! The first time I met Ben, we were seated side-by-side, waiting to get our feet washed. It was the Holy Triduum and we were selected to pose as apostles for the Holy Thursday mass, as Fr. Michael would wash our feet, as Jesus did at the Last Supper. As I got to know Krystiana more, it was astounding to find out that I had gone to high school with her father (who was a couple of grades higher, of course! hehe!). (Now, I’m dating myself…LOL!)
To see them grow in their faith together from the first time I’ve known them, was just a blessing! They both attended Tyndale University & College together and thereafter, helped invigorate our church’s youth group. As such, they were very strategic in celebrating their wedding day with both family and friends in two different instances. After the beautiful ceremony at St. Mark’s R.C. Church, they had a luncheon at the Touro Brazilian Steakhouse with family, relatives and close friends. The first round of speeches ran through with laughter and tears of emotion. Then in the evening, they had continued the celebration with their church “family” and all the youth whose lives they have touched. Some of them, also had the opportunity to give their sentiments and well-wishes to the newly wedded couple.
The real-kicker was after the dinner. What couple decides to end the night off in worship?! Lead by the talented musicians within the youth group, it was so uplifting to just praise and sing before the Lord in the sanctuary. And what a way to start off a marriage! Hope you are blessed with these highlights…
