J.M. + S.P. ~ The Answer Is “Yes!”
I had known Jessica since I had joined the University of Toronto Gospel Choir back in 2003. Not only did we connect on a Filipino level, her bright personality just uplifts anyone she meets. And to match that sunshine, why not add another large reflector to spread that joy around (sorry, photographer nerd-speak). I only got to know Steve at our initial meeting when planning for their wedding but it was like we were long-time friends. I found out where his exuberance comes from: his creative skills in animation, his love for God, which then translates into his love for Jessica.
Both their creativity knew no bounds on the engagement session. They were up for anything I had prepared for them but was I ready for what they had for me?! After a few clicks of how I wanted them to pose, Steve just busted out into an expression that had me smile more than them!!! As you will see, it was a lot of fun.
As we walked to our next location on the beautiful grounds of Too Good Pond (Unionville), I was humoring the fact that one of the trendy things, at the time, was a Street Fighter fireball hitting scene. They were both all too familiar with that video game and HAADUKEN!!!…I got it in the first shot. Lastly, we also tried the Darth Vader “death-grip” and I tell ya, these two models just turned actors!
As much fun as we had at this session, I was humbled to capture this phase of their lives! Stay tuned for their wedding pics…
